The 2016 Audi A6 is one of the German automakers best performers and has proven to pass its safety test, replicating a front-corner crash with another vehicle, with flying colors. In fact, the new luxury sedan received a “Top Safety Pick Plus” rating award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, or IIHS, as a result of modifications Audi made to improve what is called small overlap protection. The test was first introduced three years ago and the Audi A6 was able to show how well its driver’s space has been maintained.
