
Audi has recently revealed that it will not participate in the Super Bowl airwaves this year. The news broke a day after Ford Motors announced that Ford and Lincoln would not participate either. As of now, six brands have chosen to run a few ads during the Super Bowl this year, including: BMW, Kia, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, and Toyota. This year’s participation has decreased tremendously – in 2014, eleven auto brands aired commercials during the game. An Audi spokesperson said: “We were the first auto maker in our class to begin advertising in the Super Bowl in 2008 and we saw many follow us into the big game.
