Audi’s latest headlight technology is able to detect oncoming vehicles on the road which makes it easy when driving with high beams on – the high-beam headlights dim part of the light beam so that oncoming traffic is not blinded by bright lights. This new development allows other drivers to maintain road visibility while at the same time continuing to cast full light in areas surrounding the other vehicles for you. The recently developed Matrix LED headlights use numerous LEDs that are spread over a grid, and these can be individually controlled depending on the situation – Audi says that this technology only works when the driver switches on the high beams and selects the headlights automatic function.
