Audi recently revealed that it plans on offering advanced self-driving features in its cars by the end of 2016. Audi’s technology chief, Ulrich Hackenberg, revealed that he expects autonomous vehicles to be ready for mass production within the next ten years. In a recent interview, Hackenberg pointed out the differences between autonomous driving and piloted driving. The German automaker claims that its legislation that is preventing them from launching autonomous driving. Until they are able to get legislation on board, Audi will have to continue test driving with a test driver always at the wheel.
