In Beijing, earlier this week, Audi revealed a concept car that all have been waiting for – the 2016 TT Off-Road. There had been rumors surfacing on the web about a five door Audi TT model, but it was not until this week that Audi confirmed. This concept vehicle is an attempt of turning a sports car into a family car and how Audi plans to transform the already popular sports car into a series of different segments. The car showcased the new virtual cockpit that presents a fully digital 12.3 inch display screen located behind the steering wheel. The Audi TT Off-Road concept car in Beijing proves to be a plug-in hybrid and is considered to be an e-tron quattro – an integrated 2.0 liter TFSI engine with an electric motor. The car happens to also be a six-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission which is used to power the front wheels – however, the real magic lays where a second electric motor has been mounted at the rear, with a lithium-ion battery, which coheres and deliver over 400 HP.
